mandabeaarxo: i really hate that a lot of people assume that strippers are all stupid, lazy, didn’t/aren’t going to school, and only chose that career because they ‘can’t’ or choose not to do something else. I wouldn’t mind being a stripper at the right club and I’m a college student with a very high GPA and I plan on getting a master’s degree (not that i would need to justify being a stripper, but there you go, plenty of them do so to pay for school). Strippers make good money, it’s a good workout for your body, and i’m sure can make you feel very free and good about yourself and your body. There’s plenty of dignity in being a stripper if that’s what someone chooses to do. Who cares if they are doing it to pay for school or as their chosen profession? Sex work is real work. Stop degrading them.
