Supporting one interest group doesn’t mean you don’t care about other people or interest groups. It means you want to raise awareness about a group that faces oppression. Egalitarianism (like what you’re describing) assumes all people start on a level playing field. They don’t. We don’t need to fight for the rights of men or white people because they are already in power.
